LEMURIA is a 3-person adventure shooter with numerous cutscenes and dialogues, which takes place against the background of mass street riots and the beginning of a deadly epidemic. When connecting the Fantasy Chapter DLC at the very end, the player will also have to travel through the magical jungle of Illusory Reality in a fantasy setting.
Guns, girls, cars, gold, uranium and bundles of money - well, what else? Maybe an SSD drive with stolen digital coins? No? Well, then the main prize is to get out of all this alive! When a civilization begins to collapse and its laws cease to apply, all problems that arise have to be solved through violence.
The main characters of the game are an unemployed veteran Alex and the unlucky spy Kanta Anora - begin their journey to an African country Lemuria, each for his own reason, each from his own end of the world, each in his own way. Time will tell who they will become - friends, enemies, lovers. This is the first part of their adventures.
Alex on the way to his dream will have to apply the skills acquired in the army more than once, and Kanta is able to arrange (and most likely will arrange) armageddon when performing any, even the simplest task.
The game uses music by Chris Onyak and John Leonard French. Even if these names are unknown to you, you've probably heard their music in other games. A special mixing system allows the background music to smoothly adjust to gameplay changes.
AI NPCs are able to advance, retreat, shoot from cover, search for first-aid kits and ammunition, join groups and run in different directions, overcome obstacles and wait out of sight of the enemy. And all this without pre-prepared triggers, which makes each fight unique and replayable.
The game has a large number of configurable parameters, let's focus only on some.
You can independently adjust the duration and intensity of shootings, the degree of protection of the Player and the force of weapon damage, or simply select a set of settings from pre-prepared calculations.
With a couple of clicks in the settings, the video sequence of the game can be changed in the range from prim melodrama for the whole family to shamelessly unbridled VHS action movie of the 80s.
The rigidity of the image on the screen can vary from a clear television camera to a soft film. The speed of rotation of the camera and its inertia can be changed even during gameplay by going to the Main Menu.
The player can adjust both the ratio of the time of the shootings to the time of the dialogues, and the complexity of these shootings, according to their preferences. It should be noted that in any case, tactical decisions will be more important than marksmanship. It is also important to know that this game does not encourage camping and fights against it by increasing visibility and damage received.
The gameplay is made as diverse as possible, and in each new location the player will most likely have to look for new tactics. With the settings set correctly, the game will move to the next stage 10 seconds before the current stage gets bored, and this new stage will certainly be in a new location and a different setting.
In addition to uncompromising shootouts and rescue of the next “demoiselle en détresse”, the player will find a fair amount of stealth and fascinating dialogues.
This game is an elegant entertainment for several evenings, giving you the opportunity to shoot, talk, wander through the magical jungle and maybe do something else...
